Charleston, SC – The Allen Americans and South Carolina Stingrays faced off Wednesday evening at the North Charleston Coliseum, where the Stingrays were battling for their playoff lives, down 3-2 in the series.
The Rays scored the lone goal of the opening period when Marcus Perrier lit the lamp at the 8:59 mark with South Carolina outshooting Allen 11-8 for the period.
South Carolina added two more in the middle frame from Joe Devin and Frankie Simonelli to extend their lead to 3-0 before the second intermission while shots were even in the period at 10 apiece.
