CHICAGO -- Given all that remains at stake for the Stars before they return to the playoffs for the first time in three years, Jim Montgomery was hoping that his team would show him something Friday night.
Needless to say, Montgomery wasn't pleased with what he saw. Not even close.
The Stars came out sloppy and then watched as the Chicago Blackhawks rattled off five straight goals to hand the Stars a 6-1 loss that kept them from securing the Western Conference's top wild card spot.
The loss snapped a five-game streak in which they had managed at least one point.
