On the Dallas Stars …
Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News: (mailbag) Asked if the Dallas Stars could entertain the idea of trading Tyler Seguin. Seguin will need a new contract for 2019-20 and it will end up being around $9 million. The Stars have Jamie Benn locked up long-term for $9.5 million, so the Stars will have to be sure about the fit between Benn-Seguin.
[Heika] thinks Ken Hitchcock is looking to make Seguin into an excellent two-way center this season, but if that doesn’t end up working out, maybe the Stars would consider it.
