A slow news day yesterday, was interrupted by a report that defenseman Johnny Oduya was put on IR by the Stars. This season’s injuries have all been to forwards, but defenseman Oduya left the game Saturday, with a lower body injury.
To replace him the team called up Julius Honka and Esa Lindell from the Texas Stars. Once again giving the Stars 8 defensemen.
Honka might make his NHL debut tonight versus the Wild. NHL Correspondent Sean Shapiro had a chance to observe him in Cedar Park, last week, and had this to say.
