Momentum is real, according to Stars coach Ken Hitchcock, and it's the job of his team to get it back as quickly as possible after a six-day break.
The Stars were playing their best hockey of the season heading into the NHL's CBA-mandated bye week, going 4-1-0 and capping that run off with a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers a week ago. Now they must try to find that same wave, as they return to play Saturday against the red-hot Colorado Avalanche, winners of five in a row.
"Momentum's huge," Hitchcock said after running his team through a lengthy practice Friday to shake off the rust.
