Cedar Park, TX - Captain Curtis McKenzie scored 2 goals while Anthony Louis netted the lone shootout goal for the Texas Stars as the club picked up it's first victory in extra-time on the '21-'22 season, beating the Colorado Eagles (Colorado Avalanche affiliate) by a 4-3 final, earning a split of the 2-game series Saturday night.
Stars goalie Colton Point picked up his first win of the season, getting the start on short notice with Jake Oettinger having been called up early Saturday morning. Point, the Dallas Stars 6th round pick in 2016, turned away 16 of 19 shots in an adequate, if not solid start, despite the spot duty.
