Restricted free agent Mattias Janmark has agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Dallas Stars. The deal is worth $2.3 million. Last season, Janmark made $700,000.
"Mattias is a strong and versatile player who always makes his presence felt when he is on the ice," Stars GM Jim Nill said in a release. "His intelligence and determination have built the foundation of a tremendous, young player, and we are thrilled to have him returning as a member of the Stars."
Janmark, a 6-foot-1 center, joined the Stars as part of a trade deadline deal with Detroit in 2015 that sent Erik Cole to the Red Wings and Mattias Backman and Janmark to Dallas.
