Ken Hitchcock: Stars' current way of play is 'recipe for losing hockey' — and it starts with Dallas' top players

PITTSBURGH -- The Stars received a huge break Sunday night in the form of video replay but couldn't do anything with it in a 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Dallas video coach Kelly Forbes caught Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin with his skate just off the ice in the second period, and his call for a video review wiped out a power-play goal for Pittsburgh. But the Stars couldn't capitalize, as they went their third straight game without an even-strength goal.

"I don't think this is any different than the last five games," Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said.
