Craig Ludwig studied his notes and pored over statistics Monday afternoon, cramming for one of the biggest tests of his life.
"I know Razor is doing the same thing, so I'm just trying to keep up," Ludwig said.
The former Stars defenseman and current announcer will step into the analyst's chair Tuesday night in the only preseason run-through of a new broadcasting arrangement.
