Defenseman Julius Honka is returning to the Texas Stars ahead of the club's homestand this weekend. Honka, who has spent the season so far on the taxi squad in Dallas, was re-signed over the summer on a two-way deal after spending a year in Finland. While Dallas owned the young blue liners rights and looked for a trade partner, they were unable to find one.
Honka returns to North America looking to respark his NHL career. Perhaps some time playing in familiar Cedar Park will get his offensive game back on display.
