Is It Remi Poirier's Net Now? Dallas Re-Signs Pending RFA on Two-Year Deal

Related Topics: Dallas, Magnus Hellberg

The Dallas Stars announced this afternoon that goalie Remi Poirier has been signed on a two-year, two-way contract.

The pending restricted free agent had an excellent playoffs as he staked himself to a 2.19 GAA and 0.919 SV%. He notched a shutout to boot as he took the net for the majority of Texas' postseason run.

The move signals that Dallas intends to continue Poirier's time in Texas as he matures into a third option for the big club. The next big question for Poirier's future is who else signs in Texas. Last year, Dallas signed Magnus Hellberg, which signaled that Poirier was not going to be the third option.
