Tyler Pitlick found out when he stood on the blue line for the national anthems Tuesday night. Pitlick knew his line -- centered by Radek Faksa with Devin Shore on the other wing -- was starting against the Maple Leafs, but he didn't know whom he was starting against.
So when the rest of the Maple Leafs vacated the ice and left just their starters on the ice, Auston Matthews was standing on the opposing blue line. Entering the game, Pitlick knew his line would draw a matchup with either Matthews' line or John Tavares' line simply because that's what they do.
