FRISCO - The Stars are using the Big Three concept on defense in the NHL playoffs.
Veteran John Klingberg is second on the club with seven points in eight games. Youthful Miro
Heiskanen has two goals.
And there is the stolid defender: Esa Lindell. His game is not about scoring. It is about being the
purest defensemen on the Stars and possibly the entire league.
Lindell made a strong statement during a 4-2 win at St. Louis on Saturday. He played 30:13,
blocked six shots and was the main man in a penalty kill that held the Blues scoreless in five tries.
