The Stars won the honor of hosting this year's NHL Draft.

On Friday night and Saturday, the top amateur players from all over the world will hear there names called from the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The team's front office, led by general manager Jim Nill had plenty of options that could help new head coach Jim Montgomery remedy a missed playoff berth last season.

And the team took forward Ty Dellandrea with pick No. 13. The soon-to-be 18 year old put up 59 total points in 67 games for the Flint Firebirds of the Ontario Hockey League this past season.
