The easy story is that both teams are returning from their bye weeks, both were red hot beforehand, and both need to find a way to get that momentum back. However, the story going forward could be how tight the wildcard race is getting in the West. Dallas is one point up on Chicago and Minnesota and three points up on San Jose, which has four games in hand. Colorado could be within two points of the Stars with two games in hand if it wins in regulation. A regulation loss for Dallas really changes perspective of the standings.
