Former Stars coach Ken Hitchcock returns to coaching, will replace Todd Mclellan as Edmonton Oilers head coach

Edmonton firing Mclellan is the fourth coaching change in the NHL already this season.

Hitchcock spoke to SportsDay's Tim Cowlishaw this summer in his first interview since his retirement in April.

"I think I've had enough," he said at the time. "I think the coaching part ... is over."

Edmonton's only trip to Dallas this season will be Monday, December 3rd.
