Devin Shore received an exceptional opportunity last season because of six injures to Stars forward, and he responded with an outstanding rookie season, tallying 33 points (13 goals, 20 assists) in 82 games.
This season, Shore is building on that performance and carving out a nice little niche as a second-year player.
"For me, he is the most versatile player on the team," Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He is a guy that can play on any three positions in any situation. He is on the power play, he kills penalties, and he plays on a top line.
