GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Stars opened Tuesday night's game looking like a team that had just stepped off an airplane a couple of hours earlier.
Which they were.
But then Jamie Benn and Jason Spezza provided some special-teams spark, and the Stars went on to a hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes, Dallas' third win in four games.
Dallas, which has points in four straight and six of seven, edged ahead of Nashville into fourth place in the Central Division.
The Stars had been scheduled to leave Dallas early Tuesday morning but their charter experienced mechanical problems, forcing the team to fly to Phoenix later in the afternoon.
