DENVER - At the end of each season, most NHL rosters will have used 30 men or more, so managing the depth is important.
The Stars on Sunday recalled Jason Dickinson and placed Martin Hanzal on IR retroactive to Nov. 28 with a hamstring injury. With Antoine Roussel bothered by flu and a couple of other forwards dealing with bumps and bruises, Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said Dickinson can be a very good stop-gap player.
"He's a young player still figuring it out," Hitchcock said.
Dickinson, 22, has played four NHL game this season and 15 in his career.
