Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final last night put a lot of things into perspective for the NHL. Home ice advantage means a lot in this series, the Pittsburgh Penguins aren’t ready to roll over easy, and the Nashville Predators have a big hole to dig themselves out of if they still want to win the Cup.
But one of the biggest things that stood out was that the 2016-17 season is quickly approaching its close. After a 6-0 blowout, the Penguins are now just one win away from their second consecutive Stanley Cup. That could come as early as Sunday.
