The Dallas Stars will spend the 2017-18 season celebrating their 25th year in Dallas. In 1993, Minnesota North Stars owner Norm Green decided to move the team south, and all of Big D rejoiced.
Now here we are 25 years later, and the Stars are still around and making lots of noise. They also have a pretty passionate and diverse fanbase around them. The fact that the team has made it this long is cause for celebration. After all, “hockey in Texas” is an almost impossible concept to comprehend.
The 25th anniversary celebration begins on opening night and will last the entire season.
