The Dallas Stars have traded goaltender Jack Campbell to the LA Kings in return for defenseman Nick Ebert.
Jack Campbell, the 11th pick of the 2010 draft, has had a troubled couple of years and it was questionable whether he would be re-signed by the Stars.
The Stars have acquired a defenseman who was selected with the final pick of the 2012 draft after falling from a potential first round pick.
Ebert has spent the last two years playing in the AHL and he had 26 points through 89 games in the AHL.
