The Dallas Stars have struggled at some point over the past few years at every position. As soon as it looks like Nill has solved one problem, another one pops up.
Ben Bishop helped out the goaltending, but now the team lacks scoring depth. The Stars also lost their starting goaltender turned back-up in Kari Lehtonen, and the back-up position has long plagued the Stars. The defense finally took a step forward, but now two blue line regulars departed in free agency.
The second-line center is a sore spot right now, with both Jason Spezza and Martin Hanzal looking to have bounceback seasons.
