An interesting occurrence in our culture today is the essence of surprises. Some people like them, some people don’t. Some surprises are good, others are not. But whatever the case may be, a surprise always catches you off guard.
That’s exactly what the Dallas Stars had this past season with the performances of Mattias Janmark and Radek Faksa. The two rookies were implanted into the Stars’ lineup during the 2015-16 season and both made a significant impact.
Janmark came out of training camp and the preseason as one of the 13 forwards left on the roster and ended up snagging a starting role for opening night (also his NHL debut).
