With Patrick Sharp out of the Dallas Stars’ lineup again due to concussion issues, the team officially announced on Tuesday the call-up of forward Jason Dickinson.
Dickinson, 21, missed the Stars’ training camp and the start of the season due to summer hip surgery, but has been impressive for the AHL’s Texas Stars since returning, with 10 points in 13 games. The skilled two-way center made his NHL debut with Dallas in the last game of the 2015-16 season, picking up a goal.
There’s no word yet on whether or not Dickinson will actually draw into the lineup, but if he does he could provide some speed and offensive support for the team’s Bottom 6.
