Has hockey hit the summer doldrums yet? It was hard to tell at the Dallas Stars’ 2017 Prospect Development last weekend.
Fans filled the bleachers and lined the glass to get their first glimpse of the new draft class and see how previous draftees had progressed, as well as say hello to prospects-turned-pros like Landon Bow and Denis Gurianov.
Among the noobs, Miro Heiskanen was the biggest attention magnet, pulling focus with every move he made. An almost electric buzz surrounded the highest draft pick in the Stars’ Texas history, and fans hyper-focused every time he came near a puck.
