What the heck happened on Tuesday?
In the Stars game, I mean.
When you stop and take a peak under the covers (on a fine site like hockeystats.ca, for instance) you see some pretty positive stuff.
The Stars out-attempted them 61-59. The big three (being misters Benn, Seguin and Klingberg) recorded even-strength Corsi percentages of 78%, 69% and 67%- Monster nights in that department. The shots were pretty much even at 31-30 in favor of the Jets. The power play was working a little bit on a nice 2-for-5 night. Pretty good signs all around.
And oh yeah, they lost 8-2, and had two goaltenders surrender four goals each.
