Jamie Benn started his charitable work with MS through the Dallas Stars because a close family friend from back home has MS. Having Jamie Benn as an ambassador for MS is very powerful to the MS Society. Awareness is a huge obstacle the MS Society is struggling with and hopefully since Benn aligned himself with the cause more people are hearing about MS.
About 400,000 people in the United States and about 2.5 million people worldwide have MS. It’s a live long illness that affects the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Currently their is no cure.
