Dallas Stars’ Entry Draft Replacements For Expansion Draft Casualties

As the Dallas Stars and the 30 other franchises in the National Hockey League prepare for the Expansion Draft, which will be held on June 21st in Las Vegas as part of the NHL awards, they’ll have to come to terms with losing key players.

The NHL’s newest organization, the Vegas Golden Knights, will lay claim to at least one player from each of the 30 preexisting squads. The Dallas Stars, per the NHL’s mandates, will protect seven forwards, three defensemen, and one goaltender from Las Vegas having the option of scooping them up.

The Golden Knights must select, from the players that were left unprotected by the 30 other franchises, at least 14 forwards, nine blueliners, and three goaltenders.
