I’m not ready to say that the switch has flipped for the Dallas Stars. After the last couple of weeks of the regular season, and even Game 1 of this series, the general temperament of the Stars faithful had been put to the test. Is this team just not ready to compete at the highest level for the Stanley Cup? Are there too many holes in the defense? Are the forwards going to come alive? What about the injuries? The goaltending?
Those questions still exist, of course, and any suggestion that the last two overtime wins were perfectly played would be foolish.
