It wasn’t always pretty, but the Dallas Stars started off the preseason right last night with a win over the St. Louis Blues. The team consisted mostly of players projected to make the NHL roster, which includes new fan-favorite Miro Heiskanen:
The rookie looked poised and comfortable, which shouldn’t be much of a surprise after how he’s handled everything else leading up to this stage of his career.
There was one play in particular in the first period where Heiskanen’s talent stood out as he caught a looping puck out of mid-air, dropped it to his stick, and flipped a no-look saucer pass to Spezza for a clean zone entry.
