Through the first four games, the Dallas Stars’ high-octane offense was nowhere to be found, having only scored seven goals so far in Round 1. Last night, however, it seemed like that offense was found. The Stars netted six goals in a 6-2 rout of the Colorado Avalanche to close a pivotal Game 5 – and where some of those goals came from is equally important.
In a recent article by Dallas Morning News writer Lia Assimakopoulos, she brought to light an interesting statistic before last night’s tilt:
“Of the eight Dallas players who had scored 20 or more goals in the regular season, only two had scored in the series.
