Most fans and hockey pundits will agree that the the Dallas Stars goalie situation is a mess. With both Kari Lehtonen and Antti Niemi combining for over 10 million dollars of salary cap space but providing some of the league’s worst goaltending in return.
Former Stars goalie Marty Turco thinks new coach Ken Hitchcock’s system will help the team no matter who is minding the crease.
"He runs a system that helps the goalie," Turco said. "He helps reduce the numbers of quality chances, he slows the pace down, and he makes sure people are responsible in their own end.
