The Dallas Stars don’t score much in their current system, but Tyler Seguin is a special case. The superstar sniper hasn’t scored since last year – December 28, to be exact – and hasn’t had this rough a season since his rookie year.
So what’s up with his scoring problem? We’re not used to seeing this part of Seguin’s game suffer, especially when he’s playing well in general. But it isn’t for lack of shot attempts and scoring chances, according to The Dallas Morning News’ Matthew DeFranks, who did some math as part of his latest mail bag:
Most of [Seguin’s] underlying offensive figures are in line with his averages since arriving in Dallas.
