Dallas owns D.C.? Stars once again top NHL-leading Washington in their own building

WASHINGTON -- The streak lives.

Devin Shore scored 1:48 into the first period, the Stars chased Vezina Trophy winner Braden Holtby in the second and goaltender Kari Lehtonen held up in the third as Dallas defeated the NHL-leading Washington Capitals 4-2 on Monday night.

The Stars, who are 6-0-0 in their last six games in Washington, have registered points in 12 consecutive games against the Capitals. The streak dates to Nov. 30, 2006.

"I've never been able to explain it," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. "I've had runs against different teams and eventually it ends at some point, but for whatever reason you can get going against a team and it seems to be there game after game.
