EDMONTON, Alberta -- Corey Perry scored in double overtime Saturday night, and the Dallas Stars outlasted the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-2, to force a Game 6 in the Stanley Cup Final.
The win prevented -- at least for a few nights -- Tampa Bay from securing the second Stanley Cup title in its franchise history.
Joe Pavelski scored his 13th goal of the playoffs with 6:45 left in the third period as Dallas forced overtime. The two teams traded opportunities in the first extra session, before Perry ended it in the second.
