With Dallas controlling play in the first period, the Jets broke out on a two-on-one. Stars defenseman Dan Hamhuis played it poorly, laying out to block the pass. He didn't block the pass and slid into Kari Lehtonen as Mark Scheifele scored 3:06 into the game.
