Last season, the Stars topped the NHL with 265 goals, led by the trio of Jamie Benn (41), Tyler Seguin (33) and Jason Spezza (33).
Dallas ranks 16th this season with 86 goals through 34 games, and that trio has accounted for just 25.
If you project that over a full season, Benn, Spezza and Seguin would produce 56 percent of the goals they scored last season (107 to 60), and that's a big reason the team is 13-14-7 and sitting on the outside of the playoff picture.
