ST. LOUIS -- In the shadow of the Gateway Arch and the memories of postseasons past, strengthened by Ben Bishop's heroics and buried by Pat Maroon, the Stars season died as morning threatened. The season ended with a 2-1 double-overtime loss in Game 7 in St. Louis on Tuesday night, finishing a worthwhile and entertaining second-round series against the Blues and ushering in a dreaded and wanted summer.
Tuesday night was the culmination of a second-round series destined to be settled in the second overtime of the seventh game, a matchup that including just about everything you'd want from a second-round series.
