As expected, the Texas Stars have assigned Philippe Desrosiers to the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads this morning. Desrosiers is still a young goalie and needs playing time to continue improving. With the emergence of Maxime Lagace as a true #1 goalie for Texas, Desrosiers' ice time has been limited. In Idaho, he will be the #1 and get all the ice he can handle.
