OTTAWA, Ontario -- The Stars are scoring again, so could it mean the return of the high-flying Stars?
Through the first four games of the season, the Stars averaged 4.25 goals per game and have scored at least three goals in every game. Entering Monday's game in Ottawa, they ranked fifth in the league in goals per game and seventh in the league with 36.3 shots on goal per game.
Those numbers are a far cry from last year under coach Ken Hitchcock, when Dallas was 18th in scoring and 20th in shots on goal. Only twice last year did the Stars score at least 17 goals across a four-game stretch.
