Ontario, CA – The Allen Americans faced off against the Ontario Reign Sunday night at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in game five of their best-of-seven Western Conference Finals series in a must win situation, trailing the Reign 3-1 in the series.
Ontario opened the scoring when Justin Blackwater found the back of the net on the power play at 14:08 of the first period with assists from May and King. The Reign led at the first intermission 1-0 and in the shot count at 10-7.
The teams exchanged goals in the middle frame allowing Ontario to hold onto their one goal lead after forty minutes of play.
