Charleston, SC – The Allen Americans defeated the South Carolina Stingrays for the second game in a row in overtime by a score of 3-2, to take a 3-2 series lead in the ECHL Kelly Cup Finals.
Greger Hanson was the hero this time as the Americans leading scorer fired one past Stingrays goalie Jeff Jakaitis, for his 12th goal of the playoffs at the 5:25 mark of overtime from Konrad Abeltshauser and Kevin Young.
“We believed we were going to win tonight,” said Americans forward Greger Hanson, who scored his second overtime winner of the playoffs.
