Effective immediately, the AHL has suspended their season.
Following the suspension of the NBA season last night, it seemed it was only a matter of time before the dominoes fell to hit the AHL. League suspensions or season cancellations poured in this morning, and and following the NHL's lead, the AHL is the latest to announce.
The Texas Stars are in Colorado and are expected to return home and wait for the season to resume, if it does, at a later date.
There have been some ideas floated of cutting the season short and moving directly to playoffs, which would put Texas on the outside looking in.
