ST. PAUL, Minn. - This was not the return the Stars were seeking.
Coming off a nice run that sent them into the Christmas Break on a high, Dallas came crashing down Wednesday in a 4-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild.
"It was our poorest effort by a mile. We were light on the puck, light around our net, light around their net," Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said. "A lot of passengers, that's not our team."
Dallas couldn't capitalize on enough chances on the power play, allowed one too many chance to go in on the penalty kill, and had a puck deflect in off the skate of a defenseman.
