The Stars continued to make waves early on the second day of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, taking left wing Jason Robertson 39th overall.
Robertson is a 6’2” power forward that possesses elite hockey IQ and an elite shot. One of the best snipers in the entire draft, he picked up 42 goals and 81 points in 68 games for the OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs last season. His skating needs work, but that’s the only real weakness in his entire game. He was strongly considered as a potential 1st round pick.
