12 months of struggle: Wins against the Central's top teams continue to elude the Stars

ST. LOUIS - It was Dec. 8 last year when the Stars beat Nashville.

Since then, Dallas has done nothing against the top teams in the Central Division.

After a 3-0 loss to the Blues Thursday at Scotttrade Center, the Stars are now 0-11-1 in 12 meetings with the Jets, Predators and Blues. That's a big reason Dallas sits five points back in the standings and is focused mostly on a wildcard playoff spot.

But just as important as playoff positioning in December is the fact the Stars need some boost of confidence that they can actually beat the best teams in the Central.
