It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Michael Owen, former writer for 100 Degree Hockey from 2021-2024.
Michael was always a pleasure to chat with at the rink. I always found that Michael knew ten times as many people at the H-E-B Center than I did simply because of his chatty and outgoing nature. I think I made more random connections during those three years thanks to Michael's introductions as he roamed through the arena and said hello to anyone and everyone.
Michael passed away at his home in Round Rock on June 26, 2025, after a long illness.
