Mark Cuban will do anything to make Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic the second coming of Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash, and if that means answering for Porzingis at Monday's introductory news conference or twisting the comparison to suit his purposes, so be it.
Let me just add: The new guys could be better than the former dynamic duo if, you know, Porzingis hangs around a decade or two.
Anyway, first things first. The Mavs still have to make their pitch, which they demonstrated in earnest Monday as Channel 5's Newy Scruggs asked Porzingis the Big Question, namely, whether he plans on signing a long-term deal with the Mavs this summer.
