MIAMI - Devin Harris is having the kind of season you'd expect a former all-star to have when he's entering a contract year and enjoying relatively good health.
He's been, in the words of coach Rick Carlisle, "amazing."
And yet, this has been as difficult as any year Harris has ever faced because sometimes, life throws you curves that are impossible to prepare for and change everything.
When Harris' older brother, Bruce, died in a car accident in October, it could have and maybe even should have turned basketball into an afterthought.
Family and life are obviously way more important.
